Ive spent a lot of time in the Philippines and especially around Cebu. One thing that you find is almost everything keeps a value. When your in the UK you cant give away old PCs or things that youve had for years. But here there is always someone willing to take anything, even the plastic bottles are collected by the poor to sell for money. Virtually nothing is wasted. Getting back to my point there is a large market for selling second hand goods and one thing I noticed is the setup on most of the sites selling second hand items is pretty poor. Nothing against the developers at the end of the day “free ads” are exactly that its not big business and no doubt it took them a long time to recoup costs. But anyway I decided to spent a bit of money on software and a domain for the use of selling second hand goods with a difference. Currently im trying to gain another $200 from advertising on the adsense to add shops into the site for small business owners to develop a small enterprise and giving them an online presence. I wont get rich out of it to be honest for the amount of time ive spent on it even if I stopped already it would owe me several 100 hours in lost labour time i spent developing the project. But anyway if your looking to buy and sell things in Cebu this will soon be the number one site as I am spending some money on promotion aswell as the fact everything is free on it.
